Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Sumit, good to see another take from you.

You've memorised and recreated the lesson to a reasonable standard but there areas that will need to be improved in order to improve the overall performance.

-Timing: You have a tendency to rush the picking phrases, like at 0:18 / 0:19 or at 0:29 for just 2 examples. Just try to keep in control of your timing and not rush off in front of the beat. This will come with more practise.

-Bending: Your bending is quite good at the moment but it will need improving, of course. The bend & release at 0:15 sounds awkward here and the bend itself was a little too high in pitch so more bending practise is in order too.

-Vibrato: This is developing nicely. Vibrato can take a bit longer than the other techniques so we cannot expect too much from you in a short space of time. The vibrato itself is quite fast and narrow, almost like an angry bee. This is ok if you want that effect, like a BB King sound, but you will also want to be able to preform slower vibrato as well. So just keep on practising vibrato in your own time as well as this technique will develop over a longer period of time.

-Hand positioning. Your fretting hand does not have much freedom of movement at the moment. You move your whole hand in order to fret notes that are maybe 3 frets away but you want to be able to have a better finger span so try to work on getting your fingers to stretch a bit further but only do this gradually and never force it so that you feel pain. A bit of muscle ache and fatigue is normal but not pain, ok? smile.gif

Keep up the good work!

Hi Summit!

Ben has already marked all the important aspects that you need to have in mind during the next days of practice. So to complement his precise comments, I would like to share some exercises and lessons that will help you to work the elements that need improvements on this take.

This doesn't mean that you have to replace the current lesson, but working on some parts of this new ones every day will help to polish the one you share here.

For vibrato, I think that the best is to start working on this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey-5/

In order to work on your bending technique, this exercise is the best complementary work you can do: https://youtu.be/Hh_pYY6UYIw

Another important thing that Ben suggested is to work on your stretching. For that, I recommend this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...dependence-III/

Finally, your timing can be worked using this workout: LINK

Ok mate, I hope that these links help! Keep on the hard work!

Hey there! You got some basics from the lesson but let's not pretend - there is a lot of work to make it not sound sort of "square".

I think you could add some more gain, like i nthe original video - notes will get more even sustain and warmth. Vibrato is sounding very nervous - try to start form a slower motion and a bit more rotation from left wrist - vibrato is not just fingers motion. When you bend a note, you need to highhly focus to keep it up to pitch through all it's ringing time - in this take it goes a bit down with pitch once you include vibration.
