I think this is pretty normal! You hand is getting tired of holding the riffs ! I would suggest making pauses , when you feel discomfort stop and rest a little..Than try again when it goes off...In time you will build up stamina so you won't feel discomfort (that much)...

From time to time I do feel some pain between
left hand wrist and elbow, but only when I'm having longer practicing, some bigger stretching or som. I'm talking about couple of hours of playing tho. But with more time spent with your guitar, you'll be able to play more and more without feeling any pain. All I do when I feel the pain is taking a small break, I might play some easier stuff,like random jamming or som, then back onto practicing after approx 5-10 mins. That is me of course, I just wanted to say that pain is pretty natural if you push yourself too hard. -------------------- Youtube
