Hey Todd,
Can you elaborate a bit on palm muting or share a lesson on how to control the unwanted string noise? -------------------- Thanks and regards,

Sure! Palm muting is simply using the right edge of your palm to mute the strings. Place your right hand on the bridge of your guitar and don't let it ball up. Try to center your hand on the bridge. Also, folks use their left hand to mute the strings that their right hand sometimes can't get. Take a look at this GMC lesson specifically on Muting. Take special care to watch his RIGHT HAND and how he is muting the strings. This is a great lesson on palm muting btw.
It explains the ins and outs of palm muting. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Palm-Muting-Technique/ Here is a more advanced vid once you get the technique down. Video #7 gives you a great video angle on his mute. Try to replicate what you see here. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/palm-m...workout-lesson/ Here is a video I did that talks about it as well. Let me know how it goes Todd Hey Todd,

For quite a few days I am using the classical position like u.Had a bit shoulder pain though,I think that was due unbalanced sitting initially. But it seems pretty fluid now to move over the fretboard till the end, that seemed a bit stringent in the side saddle(although players like Joe sat and Steve vai,do the magic in that way). -------------------- Thanks and regards,

Welcome to SHRED BOOTCAMP! I'll be your Drill Instructor! And I do mean DRILL! As in a large power tool used in slasher films and Paul Gilbert concerts. Here is were you EARN THE LIVING DEATH out of your fingers and break through any speed bumps/barriers to become a MASTER CHIEF of Shred! MISSON #1 THE MISSION 1.)Your mission is to go all the way back to the very start. The base of the mountain. LESSON 1. http://bitly.com/gmclesson1 Which you will play SLOWWWWWWLLY, very SLOWWWLLLLYYYY until you master it at a crawl (As You'll Do With Each Mission, and focus on left hand FORM! Make it SUPER PERFECT!). Speed it up bit by bit until you feel your ready to take it to WAR (Any speed, it's up to you) Shoot a video and post it as a reply to this post. I'll then offer a constructive and brutally honest critique. THE AFTERMATH Upon nailing the crap out of lesson one at a speed you didn't think possible, and playing it a clean as a freshly waxed floor, you will be given your first insignia of Rank in BOOTCAMP and will proceed to LESSON/MISSION #2. You will continue this process until you are a walking, talking, BadA** Guitar God among men!!!! Here is the link to your OWN PRIVATE BATTLEFIELD!!! http://bitly.com/ayangsbootcamp Practice! Todd Can we start from here? This post has been edited by AyanG: Dec 10 2020, 07:50 AM -------------------- Thanks and regards,
