great lesson!
Gabba Gabba Hey :-) Great lesson
This is it man!! Straight to the teeths!! Awesome lesson!
Wow, great lesson man! I love your lessons Adrian, you really add something here. Rhythm guitar is very important and this is good sollid rhythm
I have to say again how great this is. And really that is not so much directed at the Ramones specifically. It is Adrian. You can learn a lot from people if you just observe them. It may not exactly be what they are trying to show you at the moment, it may not even be something they are even very aware of. But if you observe closely, you can pick up some really significant things watching a guy like Adrian play.
thank you dexxter!! about the spoken video, that's the room you are hearing not a reverb , have to get rid of it!
Great lesson and spoken video! I would turn down the reverb/echo on your voice though
thanks gerardo!! !!
Amazing stuff from simple chords. Beautiful Adrian!
thanks kahall!!, i'm very glad u liked it, could be a good idea for free promo!
I just watched the spoken part. Recommending it and the main lesson videos be used as a free access promo for the site. Just saying.
The Ramones NEVER sounded that good. Fun lesson and you always distract me with these. Go Go Go!
I love this! I need to learn it! Sounds fun and right around my level!
thank you guys!!!
LOVE to see so many ramones fans !!
hey ho let's go!! Love the lesson Adrian!!
Los Ramones are my favorite punk rock band and they were very well received here in Argentina!
awesome lesson .
this is just awesome!!! well dome man!
Well done man, and congratulations on your new board! This lesson rocks and the sound is great btw!
Awesome Adrian, reminds me some old souvenirs...
That was neat. Trivia, none of them were actually related, or named Ramone. One of them did legally adopted the band's name as his surname though. They were the world's first punk band, you can find a very old video proving that on youtube.
Wow that's an awesome guitar!! can't read the headstock tho, is that a gibson?? Nice lesson too but man that guitar haha =)
You really well reproduced Joey Ramones playing style...... The man did it again
great simple lesson!
You did it Adrian! This sounds so cool and effective! I love this style of music!
very punk lesson!
Rock'n'roll man! Awesome lesson, and such a simple but effective style of music.
Awesome riffing, man! Ramones had such a unique style!
Cool Lesson Adrian..yet again
Aah sometimes it's so nice to hear something that is just just straight forward rock 'n roll without fancy stuff but with heaps of energy! You did it again Adrian, and great spoken explanations as well.
By the way check out Adrians new board here.
Hello boys and girls and welcome to a new lesson in the best guitar community in the whole world, ready to rock?
Today's lesson is based on one of my all time favorite band, and one of the most influential bands for the actual rock n roll/punk scene, I'm talking about "The Ramones", and the great guitar work of the mighty "Johnny Ramone".
Have fun with this one, and pay attention to the downstrokes "technique" I'm using here, I'm not using downstrokes and upstrokes.. I'm just using downstrokes to emulate Johnny, you WILL notice the sound difference between them, for more detailed info check video #1, i explain it with sound samples there.
So for this easy lesson we will be using a bunch of power chords, and just the e major scale:
