Welcome to the 6th episode of Metal Metrics! Today we shall be dealing with the idea of different ways of developing a given rhythmic formula – in other words, drawing different faces to a mean riff.

As benefits:

- you shall develop your right hand technique – alternate picking in the context of a riff

- development of your rhythmic sense, by working with an interesting rhythmic formula.

Tempo: 120 BPM

Meter: 4/4

Scales: C blues/ C Aeolian

Tone settings: Bass – 10 o’clock, Mids – scooped, Highs – 1 o’clock, Gain – 2 o’clock, using the lead channel of my AMT ss20 Pre-amp, boosted with a Suhr Shiba Drive overdrive pedal.
