  • Hello GMC !

-Today we have another country style bass lesson on our hands. This time we are going to expand concepts learned in the previous lesson in this series and work on a new improvisation ideas.

-Backing track is a Country Style one.We are going to cover the concept of adding transition notes to our main bass line. Also we are going to play some staccato feeling in this lesson. We are going to focus on using chromatic approach when connecting different chords in this lesson.

-Lesson is in the key of A major. All notes of the main bass line will belong to A major scale and the rest of the notes come from chromatic approach to transition notes.

    -Key: A
    -Tempo: 120 bpm
    -Time signature: 4/4
    -Tuning: standard
    -Difficulty: beginner

Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added treble and bass on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position). Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.

Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun grooving in this one!
