Welcome to the third part of these lessons called Classical Inventions.
Hi there, welcome to the third part of these lessons called Classical Inventions. This time something Neo-classical, as many power metal bands have added to their solos. One example of that could be the famous band Stratovarius.
Well, this lesson contains a lot of altpicking, some legato with tapping and string skipping at the end.
I used 235 bpm to play tho whole lesson in eight & eight triplet notes. So, it could sound fast, but if you think that we are playing sixteenth notes at 117.5 it's not too fast.
Well I hope you enjoy this lesson as I enjoyed doing it.
Take this lesson step by step and have fun!
Chords: included in every video.
Used scales: A harmonic minor, G minor. & Am, Cm, Gm arpeggios.
Bar: 4/4
Tune Down: 1/2 step
TEMPO: 235 bpm
As some of you know, I use a POD xt to rec all my lessons. In my board you´ll find my presets ;) On the other hand, here´re the settings for people who wants.
Amp model: based on Soldano Slo-100
Drive 9
Bass 4.9
Middle 5
Treble 6.8
Presence 7
Small room Reverb:
Predelay 0%
Decay 42 %
Tone 50%
Mix 43%
Remember: Same settings in other gear will produce a different sound, but, as we´ve talked at the forum, this could be cool for some members, so enjoy!
If you have any problems let me know. Take care.
See you all around.
Lian Gerbino
