Viking Folk Metal, Finntroll, Ensiferum
Hi and welcome to the second part of this Viking-Folk Metal concepts ;)
As the previous one, we are working on full songs. Rhythms, riffes, verses, choruses, all we need to create really powerful Metal songs. Here IŽve used a lot of instruments not-too-common in a standard metal band. IŽve included Accordion, tin whistle, flutes and violins.
So, youŽll find these structures and atmospheres in bands like Finntroll (a lot of accordion) or Ensiferum (with flute lines). Just for name a few.
As I said before, thereŽs a lot of bands in these styles, so weŽll see how all those bands compose their songs.
Some of the bands I am including to create the whole concept are: Finntroll, Ensiferum, Turisas, Amon Amarth, Falkenbach, Summoning, Heidevolk, Vintersorg.
Some of these bands sound more Black, some sound Death, and others Power or Epic. So, we travel trough their styles and see what happens ;)
Take this lesson step by step and have fun!
