Does anyone know anything about something called "octave displacement?" I'm trying to figure out how to do this and I would love to jump straight to "how." So any info out there? it's a cool and weird technique.
I found a site some time ago that provides a lot of quick do it yourself sort of stuff. I originally just used it for the tuner and metronome, but upon digging some I found that it was a great sort of "online book of theory and goodness, etc." and now I use it in conjunction with GMC and Paul Gilbert's youTube stuff. But yeah, check it out! it's got some on-the-fly resources that are highly customizable and great for a quick music workout.
I starting working more with multi-string tapping today and was wondering about an effective way to sort of mute the extra "pull off" sound I'm getting when moving up on the strings. I'm working with a sort of mute, but I'm curious how you all might be doing it. Thanks!
