Down Tune Floyd Rose?

I play a JEM and I usually love the Floyd Rose. It never goes out of tune for me. But my only problem with it is that its soo hard to downtune. I can tune it normally, no problem, but I'm trying to get it to C F A# D# G C, and if anyone has any tips on going about doing it, I would really appreciate it. I'm actually seriously considering buying another guitar just for alternate tunings, but I don't have anywhere near the money right now.

Omar Rodriguez-lopez

I very rarely post on the forums but I couldn't help but notice that Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has NEVER been mentioned. If you don't know him, he's from At the Drive-In, The Mars Volta, DeFacto, and has some solo records. What I think makes him really unique is his style. Its kinda like Robert Fripp meets Santana meets what happens when your on too much cough syrup. Here's a little taste:

Its obviously not for everyone.

Its one of those albums you could listen to a million times and every time hear something you didn't hear the last time. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone that sounds remotely like The Mars Volta, save for maybe At the Drive-In.

Anybody else a fan or am I alone here?
