I recently (13th Dec) decided to get serious with guitar after playing on/off for a few years. I like a variety of styles of music, Rock, Metal, Pop, game soundtracks etc.. I am fascinated by the ability of music to inspire images of new, strange and beautiful places, and to tell storys or just be fun and exciting.
I have a mixture of long and short term goals (with the short term extracted from the long).
Currently I'm working on improving my rhythm/timing, music theory and fretboard fluency, with those goals broken down into steps such as using the metronome and working out different rhythms, learning the notes of the fretboard, and being comfortable with different keys, chords, scales etc.
I'm 20 and sometimes I wish I got serious with guitar at an earlier age, but I realise I still have (hopefully) a long life in which to study guitar.
