I have been playing guitar on and off for a few years but never really committed...until now!
My main guitars are a Schecter Demon and a BC Rich Gunslinger, played through a Peavey Vypyr VIP 1, or through an unfeasibly loud Fender Vaporizer tube amp if I am feeling old school :)

Hi Everyone!
I am a new member having jumped ship from Truefire, largely because there appears to be more of a community spirit on here and I like the accessibility of the instructors. Truefire has good vids but the whole construct is very impersonal!
As a newbie I need a little guidance regarding the REC board and how proficient users are supposed to be before submitting. I am excited to uploaded something for assessment, however I am not sure if I should attempt something I can play comfortably and give a polished performance (probably level 3), or whether I should attempt something more challenging that reflects the upper limits of my current abilities but will probably contain more errors. Which approach would the instructors on here prefer?
