Picking

OK Here's 2 more questions.
Sorry I have so many, but Im sure they'll taper off as I keep going.

OK FIRST... When you are playing some crazy fast lick, are you looking at your fingering hand, or your picking hand, and if you're not looking at your licking hand, is there some kind of guide to help you find the right string everytime?

OK ONE MORE... Just watched the metronome video, when I'm doing 16th note triplets, what is the strumming pattern (ie: is it just up, down, up,down, etc?)

Hey guys, whatsup. Just want to say Hi from Sylvan Lake, Alberta... I've been screwing around on the guitar since I was 5 but never took it seriously, so the other day I fnially broke down and bought a guitar and amp, and am finally ready to (hopefully) catch up to my younger brother and dad who can easily out play me...so far... : )
