Introducing... Myself

Hi there

My names Evan and I live in Oregon. Been playing guitar on and off (mostly off) for about 2 years, however my pathological lethargy has thus far prevented me from acquiring anything remotely resembling the quintessential "bad-assery" of a self respecting guitar player. I really don't have any practical knowledge of the instrument, it takes me forever to compose anything I'm terrible at improvising, pretty much stuck with the two or three songs I know how to play.

I heard about this website from a friend, I taught her the basics of guitar about a year ago and she has now surpassed me utterly. (mainly because of you and your freakin website... thanks guys ) Anyway after about 3 months of playing she found your website and just took off at light speed, and is now playing pretty neat solo's and all but the most technical rhythm-ey bits.

So I logged on and joined immediately after seeing Marcus of Blind Guardian was an instructor. (by the way, you guy are great, The Bards Song was actually the first piece of music I learned how to play its truly been a privilege living on the same planet)

Anyway I'm here because I wanna start taking guitar seriously, I'm sure you guys can help me out
