String Skipping Etude: Alguien En Algun Lugar

Hi guys, here we go again!

This time, a 7/8 and 6/8 lesson. I think it’s gonna help you to develop your string skipping technique. This is a fragment of a song of mine called “Alguien En Algun Lugar”
First section is a Fm 7/8 motif, be carefull with the G string notes; think as if you were two guitar players, one of them is playing low and stacatto notes and the other one is playing high notes, it worked to me.
Then, the motif goes to Dm, this would be the intro and A section.
When B section starts, we’ll be playing a 6/8 instead of a 7/8 motif, I thought about this 6/8 motif as if it was a “Chamame” (a traditional argentinian style). It’s usually written in ¾ but it’s said about some argentinean styles that you can hear a superposition of ¾ and 6/8 meters, so I based myself on that concept when I wrote this song.
The B part is a Cm section, another very used cliché in argentinean music, I really love it, especially in Astor Piazzolla’s music, I’ve already told you about him in an earlier lesson.
