The Dorian mode is one of the seven Greek modes and is basically a minor scale with the 6th degree major. This note gives the main quality to the sound of this mode.

It's based on the D dorian scale and it has an Irish background sound, but I think the lead itself has more of an ethnic sound. Hope you will like it! I think it's a lot more simple than many electric solos out there, but you need to devlope a different touch on this one so it will sound good.

The chords are Dm F Dm C G Dm, and I am adding some notes to the chords to make it sound more interesting. I hope this lesson will give you some cool ideas if you have a chord progression want to spice it up!

The Dorian and Mixolydian mode are very similar. Because they are so close, we will be able to use both of these modes in the same context in most cases. Blending these two scales will give the listener a sense of rhythm flow because of the chromatic notes found when mixing them together.
