Get to grips with the Hirajoshi Scale, one of Marty Friedman's most recognisable traits.

This lesson is about the Japanese scale named the Hirajoshi scale in Dmin. It involves wide stretches but it is played fairly slow so guitarists of almost all levels can practice it.

Bluesy licks, some sweep, hammers-pulls and staccato. Challenging wide streches with your right hand. The interesting part is the lick involving the so called "Hirajoshi" scale used a lot by Marty Friedman and Jason Becker.
