Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi, here comes my take on Mark Knopfler style 2 lesson by Muris Varajic. I choose to have a little less gain (into overdrives a bit nowadays) but still maintain the similar sound. Played on a Squier strat (Japan) ts808 and a bit of reverb (Marshall cab sim -> sound card).
Original lesson:
Mark Knopfler style 2

Cheers! and thanks for grading!

(Mate Nagy won't like that a 'backed down' with lesson level this time, but this one sound so groovy smile.gif )

edit: sorry for the missing poll, topic was invisible so I couldn't edit it. Adding it now.

I like your attitude, man smile.gif

Really great playing, you've got the vibe. Almost flawless playing, there is a single mistake around 0:20.

Cheers

Very cool playing indeed. I like your tone, feel and control. Very good. But you should pay more attention on those faster parts, they are not that great. That first run was rushed, so you have to work on that on slow tempo.

really good! nice tone although a bit too distorted still for the tune. that repeated pattern should REALLY be on time as it goes out of it originally, it needs even more attention

Very good tone, only a bit shaky on the fast runs.
