    We’re drawing close to Christmas and I thought that we could have fun with a nice classic - ‘Joy to the world’ by giving it a little different flavor! Tune your acoustic guitar to CGCFGC, the lower version of the famous Celtic tuning DADGAD and let’s start exploring!

    The whole concept of this lesson is based on taking a simple chord progression on which the song is based and blending it with the vocal line. The piece is orchestrated with all sorts of little melodic interventions and has a distinctive sound due to the tuning used, achieving a Celtic feeling.

    You can develop the following skills after going through this lesson thoroughly:

    - experimenting with the CGCFGC tuning
    - re-orchestrating a piece by blending the chord progression with the vocal line on one guitar.
    - learning chord types based on a different type of tuning (all the chord diagrams are included in the GP File)
