Singing Lesson 2 - warming up

  • Welcome to my second lesson!
    This exercise is a warm up, like the humming in lesson 1 but with a little different in the melody.
    Different vowels have different effects on the voice, that’s why the second part of the video.
    Pay attention to this:
    • in “AH” the jaw drops, the mouth is nice and open, and the tongue is flat.
    • On “OO”, the lips are pursed (almost like a kiss), the mouth opening is very, very small, and the back of the tongue slightly raises.

    Again, be careful with the octave. If you are a man you should begin a lower octave.
