Muris Varajic20th October 2008Truth is,it's not only minor pentatonic scale,
there are few extra added notes but 95%
it IS straight minor pentatonic,
glad you like it,thanks. ![]()

Jose Mena20th October 2008I don't know what happened, but this thing didn't let me finish my post.
I wanted to ask what brand pickups you have there, are they real single coils, or hum cancelling like the dimarzios?, or did you install that stuff that you told me about in the forum??
Muris Varajic20th October 2008Thanks for kind words guys. ![]()
Jose, the single in the neck position is
Stan Hinesley's Desperado pickup,
a bit customized for my needs but still an ordinary single,
no double wounding for hum canceling or something like that. ![]()
Hisham Al-Sanea21st October 2008great solo Muris

Jose Mena21st October 2008
Muris Varajic21st October 2008It's pretty heavy output single and
has better resistance against hum.
But it's not noiseless of course and so I add
some noise reduction as well.
Marcus Siepen22nd October 2008Absolutely beautiful Muris, awesome lesson

playaxeman6th December 2008Muris,
The part where the lesson goes out of the pentatonic box i believe is on the 7th D string going to 9th& 10 th then juist to the B string 8 th to the 9 th G string is realy great.
When i heared it i stopped and looked at the tab immediatly cause i wanted the know what your are playing.
It is complete out of the minor box (??), but it sound so nice. I would never had invented that myself, so thanks for shearing this with us.
Real good stuff here. I will dive into this lesson later fist got to lear the part 1 & 2.
Muris Varajic7th December 2008Can you tell me which part(slow video) is that so I could explain it more? ![]()
playaxeman7th December 2008Hi Muris,
The melody that i loved was the second slow video
with this tab:
E79+ Amadd9
-------------------------|---------------|----------------------|
-----------------------8-|---------------|--------------------8-|
-------------------------|--9------------|----------------------|
--------------7h-9h-10---|---------------|-----------7h-9h-10---|
-------------------------|---------------|----------------------|
-------------------------|---------------|----------------------|
Amadd9/G
------------------------|----------------------|
--8b-------8pbr---------|--------------------8-|
-----------------9------|----------------------|
------------------------|-----------7h-9h-10---|
------------------------|----------------------|
------------------------|----------------------|
The technique used after this the raking on the B string part is also very good. How exactly do i play that?
Cheers
Robert
Muris Varajic7th December 2008I see,well that is certainly not 1st box/position
but it is 2nd one.
As for racking, you have to mute all strings around and let B string only.
Needs some time to get the feel for it tho. ![]()
