Yes indeed, there are few tricky chord changes
but you overcome it you'll be able to
play more complex stuff with less effort! ![]()
vietzilla30th June 2008This is a good exercise. Thanks.
Muris: Are these voicing/inversion chords very common? Do you see yourself using them frequently in your playing? I wonder if you can point me to some resources on chord voicing substitutions, e.g Gm/Bb can substitute for what chord(s), not just obviously it can be used in place of regular Gm.
Thanks so much.
Muris Varajic30th June 2008Glad you liked this one,cheers! ![]()
I can say that this kind of progression/voicing
is a lot common in today's music.
There are 2 ways to get similar idea:
1- to have kind a walking bass line
and then you just harmonize it
2-to make nice walking bass line
from the chords you have already
Try listening to Sting,Elton John
and those kind of artists, list goes on and on. ![]()
playaxeman9th December 2008Hello Muris,
Beautiful progression.
How did you make it?
Maybe you can use this for a solo lesson?
I have tried to solo over it in Cm it was fun.
Muris Varajic9th December 2008Thanks,glad you like it. ![]()
This is actually very common type of progression,
nothing from out of this space and yeah,
I believe soling over it is pretty fun as well. ![]()

Improves your ability to combine ascending and descending finger-picking patters PLUS it contains very nice left hand grips/chords.
