Also, it is really nice the way you construct your lessons, even showing fingerings, being consistent and true to your tab, being careful about mistakes (all which confuse a person and make lessons more difficult to follow). Nobody surpasses you in the care you show in these regards. Also you rock.

Just when I was being nice for a change...on the section where you hurt your pinkie, it appears to me that we have errors on one shape, shown below and in the tab. I believe the 16 should be an 18, and the two 18's should be 20's.

Thanks. This is a great lesson, the fingerings required on such a lesson as this, develop dexterity that helps one in others ways beyond just sweeping. I don't feel any sweeping lesson on GMC surpasses this one in usefulness.

This ones tough, Im stuck somewhere in between 75 and 90 bpm. I can play it at 90 but the sweeps that have the string skips arnt ringing through like they should. Ill keep working on it!

That's the right attitude Jeff! Well done!
Hang in there, it will be worth it.
If you're having a problem with a certain section ie the string skip part:
Isolate just that part or particular arpeggio.
Practice it seperately for a while till you have it up to speed with the other shapes and sequences.
Don't forget to focus on the hand/finger movement required to execute the lick clean as you speed up.
Then put it back together with the other parts.

You could transpose the lesson down to suit the number of frets on your guitar, you would get quite a theory workout from the lesson to then!

@ Niko. The Etude sounds cool slowed down as well.
You can also break this up into pieces to practice seperate sweep licks. Start slow and the speed will come:)

Hay GMC! This lesson focuses heavily on the sweep picking technique with some legato and string skipping. Besides for technique and learning alot of moveable arpeggio shapes this lesson also focuses on some voice leading to make smoother arpeggio changes from one chord to another.
We also take a look at how to avoid splitting your pinky finger open and how to re-write a lick quickly if you do! (see lick 5)
This piece uses minor, major, minor7b5, major 7, sus 4, minor 9, minor7b5add9, major7add9 and majoradd11 arpeggio shapes. The arpeggio's are based around five string shapes in their full, high register and low register forms.
The piece is based mostly around D minor.
Tempo is 105 in 4/4.
