Hiya!!

My name is Eddie (call me Ed, Eddie, Edward... it's all cool =P )

I'm 19 years old living in Texas and am currently a student at the San Antonio Community college studying Computer Sciences.

I picked up a guitar about a year ago and haven't really had a chance to get some serious playing/learning in. I can do some basic stuff (I don't know many chords or scales... something I hope to change ) but nothing really interesting or cool at the moment. I'm sure like a lot of people, my all time favorite band is .... Metallica (especially the old stuff... the MoP album was insane :wink: )

Naturally whenever I am playing I usually try to play stuff like the intro to Master of Puppets or Seek and Destroy, but it tends to get old really fast to only play the intros and not be able to hit the main licks or solos... =(

So here I am

Hopefully I'll be able to learn a lot about playing guitars and maybe even learn my own style to it =P

(Oh... an interesting factoid... my B-day is the same as Eddie VanHalen's *jan 26* and I'm EXACTLY 30 years younger *i was born in 87... VanHalen was born in 57.* My middle name is also the same as his brother's *Alexander*..... O_o Is it just me or does my dad have a very wierd sense of humor in all this? )
