I came home recently, and it was amazing, even though I embarassed myself more than I could imagine, the mind really stands still when improvising in front of paul gilbert, but I suppose next time improsiving in front of sometone really good like that will be easier. I'll post pictures first thing tomorrow, now I need to get myself some sleep.

Gilbert plays live in Blegrade in about month. He will probably do some master classes.

So what did you play to him?
Don't worry mate Mr. Gilbert has played with thousands of guitarists which are 20 levels below. He is cool about that. It's good that you've been there and had fun.

Just some really [pooey]pentatonic licks, and messed up a lot, it was pretty intimidating But it was still great, getting the opportunity to ask him about vibrato tips was great, and everything was awesome.



That's me and paul, it was red lights where we stood and I accidentaly had the wrong settings on my camera so the picxture is insanely red, but at least it's something. I had another guy who was there take some pics on his camera to mail me so it's not a huge deal, just all I've got right now.

His is an ibanez, but I think you already knew that. Mine is a PRS SE Custom, and I'm hoping to afford a real PRS Custom one day.

Awesome summary Oxac! I forgot lots of the licks, unfortunatly those you remembered were exactly those I remembered aswell, I forgot so much. And I didn't think I would be shaking when playing, but I was At least jamming with other good players will feel easier after this, having paul sit there was more intimidating that I could imagine, but still really cool.

Also, you should post the pic you took with him once you get it, it was awesome, best pose ever

I didn't, I also didn't tell him about my pickups project which I intended, I mean... he's only a human. He plays every day a month except 4. Great chance of him remembering all of these things? I bet not. Also, if Paul would work here, who would buy his DVD's when they can get him and so much more here? I think the chances are low but sure, whoever is to meet him soon, give it a shot.

I'll give him a little card with the site url on it, also ill write down that he should check out his in the style of lessons- how can he forget?!?

I intended to mention GMC, but seeing as my brain kind of malfunctioned when meeting him, I also forgot to do that.
