I really like those new Xiphos models the, 27 fret would be sweet but I'm not so sure I like the idea of a single coil in the neck. why would they do that? Also the white finish to the original is pretty awesome.

I have the red chameleon one and am really happy with this guitar so I might try to get the 27 fret or 7 string version eventually, hopefully in that white finish.

Hell Yeah finally a new Ibanz Destroyer

Oh and Enucleation, it's a humbucker in the Neck of the 27 fret Xiphos not a coil. They had to put in a Coil sized humbucker because the additional frets left no room for a full size humbucker...

They did do them, although in a very limited and very expensive fashion.

I am going to get the new PGM401. I love the new color and the look of the humbuckers. Just wish he would have left the headstock reversed like the 301. I was going to get the 301 a couple of months ago but I decided to go with the John Petrucci Family Reserve. After seeing the new PGM401 I have decided to sell some unused gear and order one. Here is the link.

heres what you need to do

you neeed to take off the strings
condition the fretboard
put new strings on
set it all up

when you buy a new guitar...and in most cases play a guitar off the shelf, it usually feels sluggish (if it hasnt been properly set up yet) because the strings could be coroded and the fretboard could be very dry...every single guitar i have gotten played a little sluggish before i did this to them....and i own 3 ibanez guitar so i know smile.gif

ah, thanks alot smile.gif i was almost started thinking that i wasted my money ohmy.gif
i am going to call to guitar store, and step by smile.gif
i shall put some 0.9 strings on it and make them check the string height above the neck,

i also found that the guitar sounded metallic, (not metal, but like tin) if you know what i mean wink.gif
i think that this is just a matter of new string sound, am i right?

one last question, condition the fretboard means cleaning it?
you mean like clean it with a tisseu or so? laugh.gif

thanks for your feedback smile.gif

it should sound a lot better once you get it set up...the SV pick ups i believe use the True Duo system, which are great for rock, but not so great for metal

when i say condition it, i mean oil it...there are special fretboard cleaners and oils you can buy that you can use to make them smooth, and play faster....for the most part, yeah its cleaning it with a cloth or tissue, but using a fretboard cleaner with it as well

you got a great guitar there, once you get it set up, itll be rocking smile.gif
