I use 11 in standard!

If there's going to be drop c lessons there might as well be drop d flat,drop b, and drop a tunings lessons too.

Patterns are the same in Drop C and in drop D. I think I can record a lesson in Drop C and upload the double of videos changing artificially the pitch so I can do 2 lessons in one... I think it will be great

I got an Ibanez set up to drop C. If any one is interested in drop C, make sure you have the right gauge of strings on your guitar. Just dropping your standard E tuning guitar to drop aint gaonna work (unless you have really heavy gauge strings alread). Im still trying to find a set of strings im happy with but you gonna be looking in the region of 11-58, or there abouts. If you use to light a gauge the strings are gonna flap about like a tent in a hurricane, you'll have no control in either hand. Too heavier a gauge and you'll either ruin your guitar or you wont be able to bend the strings.

There are a few bands out there that are using this tuning, the main one i know is Killswitch Engage.

Drop C is pretty cool, you can do some real heavy stuff, and also some fairly high pitch stuff too.

I love drop C i use it all the time (well i use a whole step down (DGCFAd) too). It's really dark and heavy

Well as far as arpegios, patterns, chords, etc. goes, it doesn't change at all from drop D tunning only a lower sound

Just a Tip 9s are great for when your first learning how to play guitar, but after you been playing for over (lets say 9 to 12 months) you should probably switch to 10s. You will get better tone, be able to play in more tunings, and it will strengthen your fingers!

I would be interested I have a couple freinds you play in this tuning, but I don't know too much about it!
