Just taken my Fender Hot Rod Deville out of storage to check it out before someone comes over tomorrow to buy it.
I haven't played it for 3.5 years since getting my Axe Fx Ultra. I forgot how nice the clean channel sounds, it's still going but there might be a little tear in my eye. I think I might try and replicate it in the Axe Fx. -------------------- My SoundCloud

I have been thinking about selling some of my stuff, since like Ben I have a guitar that I bought on impulse a few years ago and never really play it that much any more. I hate to do it, I get sentimental over my guitars.

I had to sell a guitar I didn't want to get rid of, but I needed the money. I put a lot of work into it, and I documented all the upgrades I've done to it here on GMC. It had a lot of sentimental value, but unfortunately life is what it is. Oh well
I also sold a UK manufactured Marshall Valvestate combo to finance purchasing a half stack. It was a great amp, my first real amp. Even though the Peavey ValveKing I ended up getting was a better amp, I still miss that combo. -------------------- He who laughs last thinks slowest. Model? Pics? Actually there are two, both Epiphones. One is a LP Standard and the other is an Epiphone Casino. -------------------- My Sound Cloud Profile: http://soundcloud.com/casinostrat

Is the V the hard tail or the one with locking trem? The locking version goes for a bit more. The LTD 408 goes for about 1k new but only 5 or 6 used. It's hardtail.. I uploaded some pics onto my guitar thread here for ya https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...st&p=589251 This post has been edited by Ben Higgins: Jun 12 2012, 10:36 AM |

I had another go on it yesterday.. I still can't get on with it. It's just not for me I don't think. I'm interested how you could fix the weight issue though. I tried tying weights on to the body and altering the strap button positions but nothing.. Did you change your strap to make it longer/shorter or move the actual strap post position? I know some people that had BC Riches and moved the strap post and it helped that out a lot. I hear ya tho. That is exactly how I felt about a 7 string. -------------------- Guitars:
