Hey Jouve, nice backing! smile.gif I usually don't like to borrow licks for these things but this time I couldn't help myself. biggrin.gif I borrowed some lead lines from a song from the 80's, and then added a harmony line to it. Can anyone guess the song these lines came from?

Heh I like it. It's from some kind of TV show, right? smile.gif
QUOTE (tonyk @ Feb 4 2014, 02:54 AM) *

That's a nice take, easy and lightmooded. The only issue is the chords rhythm in the end, they're slightly off the tempo. But that'll do i think.

So, will there be more guys? smile.gif

biggrin.gif Nope, not from a tv show, but a very popular band in the 80's, It might be easier to guess without the extra harmony and the backing.I think it is only a half step away from being in the key of the song the licks come from.

[attachment=35715:funky_collabnbpt1.mp3]
Great takes everyone! Especially Huargo, very creative man! And Gabriel, what can I say? You got skills bro! And Tony, I especially liked the little chord vamp at the end. cool.gif

Great track Jouve! wink.gif I'm loving these takes that are already up.

AK, I know the first part is Who's Crying Now (Journey). It's crazy how well that fit in there. Not sure about the second part though.

We have a winner! Good call Greg, the second part can be found in the same solo. when I was noodling around with the backing , it just popped into my head. biggrin.gif

Thanks AK.

The Journey licks sounded great over the backing track. I knew right away it was a Journey song but I will say, I needed my wife to tell me which one it was. biggrin.gif
