I've been watching the news coverage on BBC AMERICA and I gotta say it's much better than the CNN coverage. Much more complete and in depth. Then again, it's on their doorstep so I'd guess they would do better and more. This entire thing is tragic. Paris is surrounded by poor muslim slums filled with angry, unemployed youth who are ripe for radicalization.

The Prison population in France is nearly 70 percent Muslim.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...es-prisons.html
They are also vastly unemployed compared to the natives.

They are low hanging fruit for radicals to impose their views on. One of the terrorists was as young as 16 and female, from what they can figure out.

I fear this may not be the last of this type of thing but I certainly hope that it is the last. sad.gif

I'm NOT saying anything that these people did is justified at all. Just that there are so many young/angry/unemployed muslims surrounding paris that I fear for the safety of the parisians when Radical preachers are allowed to prey on the young angry muslims and turn them in to killers.

But they are unemployed because they are creating their culture, and they don"t want to mix with us !
they don"t want to live like us....

Paris is not the center of the france, where i live in provence, we have also a lot of muslim people, with radical preacher and silly tweet people.

a lot of people are proning the weapon carrying obligation..... for our safety

i do not believe in halla, but i tanfoglio and llyama are by my side !

If I lived in France I'd want to "conceal carry" a weapon if possible. Just too much crazy going on IMHO. I'd feel better carrying a weapon. But then again, I could just make things worse if I started shooting. I'll keep my gun at the house but if I wouldn't blame anyone in france for walking around ARMED.

Paris is a busy and overcrowded place .. 24/7. Small streets, small bars, clubs and restaurants. You can not walk straight along the sidewalk without someone running into you. On a normal way to work you say “excusez-moi” at least 15 times .. 5 times of them while you get pressed “sausage style” into the metro and have some quality cuddle time with complete strangers smile.gif

Even if i put my disbelieve in carrying weapons aside, i can not see how someone could use a gun in a city like paris without risk to hurt innocent people as well.

I know from Germany many Turkish people want to live like that. After their migration 50 something years ago it took a generation for some of them to start blending in the German society.

But things aren't so simple when trying to understand the situation. First of all these "don't want to change" people aren't really accepted when they return to their country, they get socially alieanated. Also among the Turkish in Germany, the ones who blend in really don't like to spend much time with the ones who couldn't.

In movies we watch China towns, Italian neighborhoods etc. in USA and I guess this is such a normal thing for them. If they aren't violent, I can't see a problem why anyone can't choose to live a life/culture as they like and create a society.

My point concerning Laurent’s statement is, they are not unemployed because they don’t want to blend in, they are unemployed because they don’t get a chance to blend in.

France has an unemployment rate of nearly 10%. French citizens with a non EU-immigration background is around 20%. They can try to blend in as much they want, they don’t get a chance of integration simply because they were born with a different name or other not-french-conform “issues”.

Similar situation in germany with turkish people.

As a result you have a whole unaccepted generation without any kind of perspective … perfect for to be radicalised and recruited for this kind of madness.

Good point, also since a lot of people joined isis from my country too an interesting research result was their family or environment wasn't radical at all.

Researchers point out that usually its about a shocking development in their lives for various reasons (family death, money problem...) and when they can't overcome it they become ideal for terrorist organizations for brainwash.

One more thing, as French goverment releases info its evident that this attack was very professionally planned. This alone should suggest that its not about a few young idiots find each other and find some guns and bombs (like the school or church shootings in USA), the bombers were just tools as the true evil who orginized them must be eliminated.

because they n’t get a chance to blend in ?

De have a lot of examples of good integration, even in nationalist party.

So who won't to embrace our culture aren't repulsed but they create an atmosphere
To be repulsed.

The government encourage them do to not make any effort to work because even if they won't do search
They are helped to do nothing their our help full system.

In France if you are not white with a European name you have all advantage you can imagine:
Free medical assurance
Near free home, electricity, food etc.
Money for live they can get a lot if if they have chilfd etc...

They can do everything they want hrvause they are poor ( unlucky, stigmatised etc) people.

We. French people are restless in our country.

Its a real fact. The over comment are socialist dreams snd unreality .

Sadly, until the Muslims in the slums surrounding France find a way to better integrate themselves and find other ways "out", rather than martyrdom, I think we are going to see more and more of these attacks. Especially since every country in Europe is being flooded with refugees from Syria. If people are not integrated in society, they find their way toward radicalization.

We have many Muslims here in the states, but our local muslims are not quite as violent. They are a little bit violent, we have had our home grown terror plots. But nothing like what just happened in france conducted by locals. Our 911 was from outsiders. I"m actually suprised that black people in the states have not turned to radidcal islam as they are ripe to be recruited.

The entire thing is very sad. I have a great hope that we can all find a way to appreciate our differences and give each other every chance before we decide that killing each other is the only way.

An important part of integration is the acceptance by the population of a country and as well to accept their differences. Integration will never work as long people like Laurent think and most surprisingly say things like this:

In france you have a free choice of religion. Equal treatment of all religions is defined by law and the secularity system in france (laïcité) which goes way beyond of Holland, Sarkozy or Chirac .. or whichever government Laurent is making responsible for the fact that muslims are a legal part of the french population.

The latest wave of war refugees from Syria and surrounding countries has nothing to do with the attacks in paris, although it will not help future attempts of integration.

As i said in an earlier post, the attackers were french or belgium citizens with roots in Algeria or Marocco. They were born here! Same for the attack on Charlie Hebdo. They were trained and were fighting for isis in syria as they welcome everyone who share their crappy interpretation of the islam. By now there is no indication for that that refugees from Syria, Lebanon or Iraq are involved in any attacks or any extremist activities here in france.

Change word muslim to christian or jewish in that quote and you have something an isis terrorist would say...thats what terrorist actually want, a poisonus way of thinking that will plant seeds to divide every country. Its poison cause then people start dividing more and more for different matters and will lose everything.

Also, when generalizing muslims it should be remembered we're talking about 1.7 billion people. Like christians, muslim religion also divide like the difference of catholic or protestant and isis way of religion is denied by many muslim countrys.

This is a quick google search on major isis attacks, the problem is worldly not country or religion specific; http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/06...world.html?_r=0

in any case, this mass murder wasn't stoped because it serve our government, why, because with that it proclaim the emergency state, and it take over the press, simplify the justice's procedure etc.... and they:

- Control the people with fear and terror
- Then the people cannot do any riot , because we are angry about our very bad governement (they sukx a lot !!! a lot !!)
- they hope to gain some % into the pro opinion, regionnal election are here in some days, and presidential in 2017.

This is a fantastic manipulation, they ordered training for the fireman and hospital with a multiple bombing scenary, some days before it realy happend, strange no ?

now the governement ask officialy, without any annonce to the press or people (we know cause it was discretly printed at the Journal officiel) the mass production about antidote for neurotoxic gaz (atropine etc...)

a short prediction for the near future ?

personally, i have unpack my military manuals, and re study the NBC (nuke, Bacteriologic, Chicmical) warfare procedure.

LOL … now some conspiracy theories, brilliant! .. well, i think we can safely say that this is out of Hollandes league.

Hey soldier, don’t unpack your military stuff and illegal weapons too openly on public places like a forum. Your name might come up if something happens to a mosque in france … now that the government has all the power wink.gif

Yes , but, One of them had a fake Syrian refuge passport , while another one was just caught with a stolen passport.

The government so easily letting people come in without be vetted , probably was not the cause , but i am sure it expedited their plans , and Isis had said that they will infiltrate with the refuges .

This doesn’t make them syrians ..

Sure, the latest wave of refugees and how to deal with them is far from perfect. But what to do with these people when literally 100.000s are standing in front of your door? Have you followed the situation in Hungary just as one example? Someone needed to open the doors and Germany did, but thats another discussion if this was necessary, good or bad and there we can have different opinions about.
