So I was interested in two Ibanez guitars. One was the Ibanez RG652. I think this was originally for the US market and wasn't really the easiest to get here in the UK. I had phoned up a few guitar shops and basically they were taking pre orders and if I ordered I would probably expect it June /July time. To be honest I don't like waiting so i ended up getting the RG655 and I am over the moon with it.

The guitar is outstanding to play. I actually bought it without trying it. I was intending to try it out but a need to wait to the weekends to travel to the guitar shops that stock it. Every weekend I tend to like a few beers meaning I can't drive the next day. So I just decided to purchase the guitar. Its feels so easy to play and I absolutely love the neck. Now I know what the big fuss about Ibanez guitars is all about smile.gif

Here are a couple of pictures smile.gif

Did you share what you ended up paying? If it's not to private a question smile.gif

Cheers mate. I usually stick to three guitars. I have a original Rob chapman Ml2 that I don't think I could ever sell. I have no idea why. Also a PRS Zach Myers sig that I love and also don't think I could sell. So unfortunately the CAP-10 was the one that got sold. great guitar but just didn't mean as much to me as my other two. Which in turn made room for my Ibanez RG655.Straight of the back I can't see myself selling this guitar. It just feels right no complaints whatsoever.

On the other extreme end of the spectrum is something like this 320 I just got. They go for under $200 used and are a great way to try your hand at an ibby if you are still on the fence. smile.gif It's an indonesian with cheap pickups, but the neck is nice and will let you know if spending 1k on an ibby is something you may wanna do IMHO smile.gif This neck is bit thicker but still feels Ibby. So if you are thinking about jumping in after seeing all these NGD Ibanez posts, you can get in cheap and see if it's for you smile.gif I would NOT suggest buying a 1k instrument if you've never touched an ibby before, but some folks do and love it! I loved my RG560 from the moment I pickup it up.

I can't agree with you more Todd. A £1000 is a lot to pay for something you're not sure you are going to like. I have played two ibanez guitars before. They were both cheap Ibanez guitars. One was a RG321. I didn't hate it but I got a setup done on it and it just didn't feel right. It honestly felt like a struggle to play it. The other was something like a SA260. Really can't remember the exact model number and my opinion but one thing is for sure. I have taking gamble on the RG655 and it has payed off. I love it. The neck is perfect for me. My only problem is the fear of trying other guitars and it just not working for me. I have always wanted a Gibson but after playing a such a lovely Ibanez neck a really think I will struggle to get comfortable with a Gibson neck.

If you like the ibby wizard, then yeah a Gibson may take a bit of getting used to smile.gif
