I am very glad that you have decided to join my mentoring program!!! Before we will start I would like to get a better idea about what are you looking for in mentoring so I have a few questions: -What are your goals? -What is your weakness? -What is your strongest point? -Your favorite guitar players? I am looking forward to start working with you!
This is my take from this week. Even though I have learned some solos I have trouble thinking of cool licks to play on the spot. WHen I learn a lick that I like from a solo (Say "time" by Pink Floyd or something) I will practice it in every key that I can. Like the solo in that song is in A major (F#m pent scale) but I will practice all the licks I like in Ampent, Em, Bm, C#m, Gm...
But then I still forget the licks after a while and have to go back to the solo to relearn them!
I am thinking I should change my way of learning to just one lick at a time, instead of trying to learn complete solos...
Your take was really chilled out Alex! I should take it slower for a bit
