Hello guys!! Welcome to the end of this trilogy. This is the part 3 of the Brisith Metal Video Collabs, the biggest, the coolest.... and this doesn't mean that the previous ones haven't been amazing. Check them out:
This time we have a backing inspired by 3 songs by Judas Priest... The Hellion, Painkiller and Exciter. My idea for this one is to start with that intro with all the participants,,, maybe picture in picture, or fast changes, so please don't record a solo over the first melodies, but film yourself playing that melody of the chords... (E5 - C5 - D5). Then starts the Painkiller style riff, there you can create a solo using E minor scalle or E pentatonic minor. Finally we have a neoclassical progression inspired by the solo of the song Exciter. There the scale that you can use is A minor. This is that progression: Am - F - G - C - F - Dm - E. You MUST use A harmonic minor over the chord E in this progression. This is the backing: Bristish_Metal_3___Backing_Track.mp3 ( 2.37MB ) Number of downloads: 516 DEADLINE: January 30th. Important Info: This is a "video" collab, so I will need audio & video from you. You should be sending exactly these 3 files: Audio File 1: This file must be a mix of your solo and the backing track. Audio File 2: This file must be only your guitar solo (no backing) Video File: Video of you playing the solo. (audo isn't important in this one, it can be the one that the camera captures) How to send the files? The best way for me is using "Wetransfer.com" and sending the files to [email protected] Let me know if you have any other question about how to participate! WHO IS IN??? PS: This collab will be dedicated to our great British friend Ben Higgins. Thanks for your inspiration mate. I just had some lousy 1½ weeks, and did not have the time to record anything this weekend as planned. But tonight I came up with this: It is not the final version I hope I get the time to make it better the next two days I like your take Ulrik! Thanks for it! As usual, a challenge for me. Nothing like a recording of yourself to highlight all those deficiencies.Helps focus the areas I need to work. Thanks Gab The "takes" that you guys have already posted are great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSb_mrvZMJQ...player_embedded https://soundcloud.com/tonyk525/british-3-1 https://soundcloud.com/tonyk525/british-3-1-solo Cool video and take tony! Thanks for joining! Here is my Video Take for this Spiff Collab. It's got a bit of Metal Tongue In Cheek. I used my Midi Guitar as a opposed to a real guitar for the vid. it's probably overkill but I produced it in FULL 1080p HD so the file is a bit large even when compressed. But I don't think we talked about resolution for video now that I think about it so I hope it's OK Here is a link to download the vid as an MP4 movie file. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2761041/Brit%20Met...%20Trim.mp4.zip Here is a preview of JUST THE END of the solo on youtube. Enjoy!!! Nice video master! Thanks a lot mate! -------------------- My lessons
