I have been planning on getting a Music Man JP6 for a while. But after seeing the JP Majesty in person (and playing it) I decided to go for that instead.


Unlike the JP6, it is a through-neck guitar.


The horn on the top (the area where the strap attaches) is not as long as the pictures make it look. In fact, it's no longer than the JP6, but the body is cut away further to allow better hand access to the upper frets.
Also the lower horn is cut back quite away.


It has an onboard preamp with up to 20db of gain built in which is controlled by pushing on the volume knob.

I am still figuring the guitar out ( I got it a couple of hours age) but it sounds great and has great sustain.
