Hello guys! Creativity workouts are back!
The idea of these workouts is to dedicate some time to activate our spiritual side. So let's forget about reason for a while, and search deep within for creativity. This might sound weird to you, but I guarantee once you have got a hang of it, that it will open up new possibilities. The first experiment consists in visualizing an image that I will share. Using your deeper perception - you should musicalize it with a note, a chord, a noise, a melody, an unfinished idea, a song or whatever you can create. The creation (music) must be original, recorded by yourself and shared here. Each of us has a different perception of reality and it will be interesting to see different GMC:ers create different musical ideas for the same image. We will then analyze the results. I will share the first pic soon. Who is in? This post has been edited by Gabriel Leopardi: Jul 20 2015, 03:57 PM -------------------- My lessons

re this is a quick idea throw..... a small lick, i have record a whole track (7min) but not really clean in term of play, i do not reallt know this style of music, but it speak to me when i look the picture. excuse me for the false notes....... https://soundcloud.com/dizy-laurent/test-happy i return to work on my homework..... Laurent edit: i have listen it back again, and it's crappy...... i suck Laurent I don't agree, it's not crappy. I have the happy feeling of this backing and I think that there are some cool guitar lines in your improvisation. If you would tweak a bit the notes choices and put more attention on expressing elements, this could be a killer solo. It just need to be polished. Hey Gab! So I've run into a problem - I generally create a rhythm and then build a melody off of it but in this case I have come up with a melody but have no idea how to create a rhythm behind it https://soundcloud.com/stortzmusic/melody-idea Any ideas, mate? wou! I love this phrasing! I play it many times and can't get enough. It's pure magic. I played some random chords over it... G - D - C - Asus2, and I got different feels. I think that this is a very creative approach to compose music. While listening to your tune, the intro of this tune come to my mind: so maybe some synth string atmospheres in the back could work... what do you think? -------------------- My lessons
