Elizabeth Of Lexington:

Between Two Worlds
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

April 19th, 1775
A war of independence
A war for the proclaimed rights of man
Caught in the crossfire of the thirteen and the one
Elizabeth Of Lexington, The casualty of freedom

Shot down, By a British regular
Husband, Son, and Daughter
All too soon, So shall they become
A spirit ascends above the motionless body
But no further shall it ever go

“What Is happening to me,
What happened to the world I once knew?
Not in heaven, Nor in hell, But not on earth
Where is it I am to go?”

“No one around me
No one to hear or see me cry
I watch as time stands still
Taken away, As if sand to the tides”

Chorus
Between Two Worlds
A loveless shell
Yearning for the life she once had
Reaching for the slightest bit of hope
Elizabeth, A ghost of Lexington
Wanderer, Of the Anti-Purgatory
Walking aimlessly, Adrift forever....
Alone she will be

Tread the water of the spirit world
Kept away from true death
A sound, A voice, Footsteps you hear....
Someone calling?
Someone reaching out for you?

“I hear the voices, I hear the calls
But more tears build, up around my eyes
For even now, In the presence of something
My swan song reaches no one”

As if a voice behind a wall
The presence of Elizabeth speak out
But falls upon the deafest of ears
So eager is her heart to begin anew
Whatever happened, to that promised afterlife

“Someone speak to me
Someone say something to me
All I need is a friendly touch
A friendly embrace...”

Chorus
Between Two Worlds
A loveless shell
Yearning for the life she once had
Reaching for the slightest bit of hope
Elizabeth, A ghost of Lexington
Wanderer, Of the Anti-Purgatory
Walking aimlessly, Adrift forever....
Alone she will be

Ok, So I wrote these today in Math class after a test. Its one part inspired by the movie "The Patriot", even though last time i saw it was like 2 years ago, another by Iced Earths "The Clouding", and lastly, a good episode of the TV show "Ghost Hunters".

Ok so, April 19th, 1775, American Revolutionary War breaks out, and in one of the first battles, In Lexington. A woman and her family are killed, caught in the crossfire. Her family all ascends to heaven, But for whatever reason she stays back, She cant see or hear anyone, dead or alive. Trapped in between life and death, in what i call the "Anti-Purgatory".
