I broke my high e today and I don't have any spares around (none that i can find anyway) so I unscrewed the locking nut and loosened it at the post a bit so it would be longer and hooked it up and voila, a temporary solution.
But the thing is it is sitting way lower than the rest of the strings. I didn't mess with the action or anything when I was re setting it. Even if all the other strings are pretty much in tune the high e is just way lower, its almost touching the fretboard...
so solutions? diagnosis?
