When Music Was Exciting, Music is so boring and predictable nowadays

There was a time when music was exciting. There was a time when music would make you get up off your ass and dance around, even if you weren't the dancing type. That time was the time of James Brown. I'm not a nostalgic person per se, but the times of James Brown were definitely more exciting than today. Todays music is so boring and predictable; nobody tries to be original anymore. Yes I am over generalizing a bit, but this is the way I feel at the moment.
