Man, this is a tough question, since I like so many different players and also because each player sounds so different. For example, I like S.R.V. and I also like Gary Moore, but they both sound very different from each other. The same could be said about Freddie King and Eric Clapton, two more of my favorites. The only way of narrowing it down would be to ask who is the best all around player, and for that I tend to think S.R.V. but no doubt many would disagree.

I definately have to get out and check out some more blues players. I've been getting into some of the blues lessons here on GMC and would like to push my style in that direction. Recommended listening anyone?... Well, you should check the ones that everybody posted in this thread, but also here is a cool list with some of the greatest blues musicians... http://voices.yahoo.com/the-top-10-blues-m...me-3419610.html -------------------- My lessons

Of course add Pappo.
The problem with lists is that everybody has a favorite that's not on there. And you inevitably forget one of your own faves, for example - the great Rory Gallagher! I can't believe I didn't include him. Thanks for reminding me Bossie! This post has been edited by klasaine: Jan 16 2013, 03:43 AM -------------------- - Ken Lasaine
