Equipment Help, im new to this.

I can play alot of simple intro's like nirvana, avenged sevenfold, metalica. I really want to get an electric becaus they are thinner and look way easier to play. I was just hoping some of you could give me an idea on some good guitars and a good amp. The Vox AD30VT or even the 15 watt version would be fine, and they have built in effects. Crate amps are good for playing metal. I have the 15watt Vox amp spdalton was talking about, and it is very good. Many amp settings and effects, and 2 programmable channels and all the EQ settings.
