Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I'll put up one of the lessons I did a couple months ago to give this REC program a try. Seems like this could bring in a lot of motivation! Thanks!

Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/jumping-around-beginner/

I am using a John Petrucci Ernie Ball Music Man through an external sound card and into Reaper and Guitar Rig 3.

Very solid take, but better note sustain is needed. Try to improve and balance out your vibrato by making it more steady and even.

You have to be really tight with those figures. Your notes are not positioned evenly within a phrase. You're doing a good job but there should be more control overall.

You are getting there, no doubt!!
These slower melodies sometimes asks for a lot more details
compared with fast shreddy stuff,
pay attention to notes length, vibrato, sustain, bends and timing ofc,
good job nonetheless!

P.S. Maybe it's just me but you look just like Satch in this video. biggrin.gif
