I was doing this "rhythmdeaf" ear test yesterday. http://jakemandell.com/rhythmdeaf/ And I thought I would only do a couple... But I found myself really liking some of the patterns and ended up with a pretty good score.
However after that I want to find more music with similarly dense rhythmic patterns. It's really fun to listen to even if these examples were probably no great representation of them(the sound quality is about the same as when somebody is beating on an 808 next door...). If anyone has some tips on music with a lot of rhythmic density, please give me some suggestions! The ones I can think of from the top of my head is Virgil Donati Michel Camilo maybe? Techdiff Maybe Brecker Brothers But there must be so much more and better.
