The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I worked this wonderfull lesson since 24 July.

It is difficult to find the good tone but I think of having done a good work about it.
Palm mute technic is my priority on this one.

Watching your progress through all the time with real pleasure.

I can feel that the blues mood is taking over you more and more and you're getting really good at it. To honest I have no complaints on your playing aside from a little...just a little non-regular depth of vibrato while vibrating single note. I'm not sure you will understand me correctly. It's all about what happens around a single note - there are moments when your vibrato tend to go somewhere above or below the wanted pitch - it's not enough consistent pitch-wise.

Unfortunately at some level and particular style the tone is a skill itself - perfect match and control of tone with your finegrs is something that has to be judged as well if we speak of blues and similar dynamics-wise playing. You need to spend some time on more experiments with tone brightness and gain balance. You tone is a little too dark to keep huge contrast between soft and hard strokes. I know how hard it is to make it work perfect but at the same time I believe you got the the point where we need to even more demanding to make you reach the top smile.gif And...I'm sure you are capable of doing this smile.gif

First of all it would always be a difference between humbucker pickup adn single coil pickup. for this lesson single coil would be recommended. Humbuckers have solid and focused midrange but there is some kind of limitation in their treble end. Sometimes adjusting the eq we cross the line of harshness to get similar to single coil dynamics response. Then we cut jst a few percents of gain to find the spot where teh harshness comes out only when we hit really hard. It's worth trying to experiment with strat type of guitar for this particular lesson. I know Gary was a humbucker player but I'm refering to Guido's original take for this lesson.

It's time to pass on the "treble fear" causing loss of a lot of good brilliance in tone, just to cut some harshness. It's a different type of playing you do now and it will not harm you to have a brighter tone with lower gain amount(yes...even a bit lower than you have at the moment)

Of course those are my subjective observations and your take deserves appreciation and respect (given by all instructors BTW). But...since you "step on my field" I feel sort of responsible to "squeeze" you to your limits smile.gif
