Reaper Daw, Help with timing Options

Hi,

When I am trying to record into reaper I have 2 separate tracks:
1. Backing Track
2. Recording of my Guitar

It seems that the 2 tracks are not perfectly on time.
I am not sure if it's my playing or if it's a delay between the 2 tracks.

When I recorded before I used audacity and everything was recorded on the same track as it was played.

But on the 2 tracks it seems like the delay it's always the same 0,1 seconds.
I am not sure how to test if it's my playing or if it's reaper daw delay.
I am using Guitar Rig 5 and ASIO driver.

What is your buffer size set to? If it's too high it can be difficult to record with good timing, I think. But I don't know if I understand the problem 100%.

I tried what it is here and I am still testing but I think it sounds much better.
Like I really hit most of the notes with the drums.

Before it was like I thought I was hitting them but when listening to the recording at sounded a little off. It was so frustrating to think you played better and when listening to see that everything is a bit off.

Getting the latency/lag time on the recording channel down to as small an amount as possible is crucial. Keep pushing in your daw until you start to hear strange audio artifacts/noises or until the daw freezes/crashes. Finding the right sampes/buffer setting takes some experimenting. Once you find it, things should sound all synched up.

Excellent!! Yeah, it's impossible to record with too much latency. You need to set it to a minimum possible.

Is it still working fine? Is this solved?
