Every once and a while there is something that happens that gets me really excited about guitar and even to the point that I get motivated to really focus on the arduous and repetitive slog of improving my technical skills on the fretboard
This interview with Daniele did that for me yesterday, I was listening whilst cleaning my kitchen and it just made me what to drop everything and grab my guitar and hit the woodshed.

He plays a Fender Strat and is playing through a Engl at low volume but still gets magic tone.

The first piece he plays with Jude is so technical and so beautifully musical I nearly cried

Definitely Daniele is a very good player. He has amazing skills and a very beautiful tone. This year he had two concerts in my town and I was surprised (and angry in the same time) how cheap was the ticket price.
I like few songs from him but to be honest his music not resonates with me. It's a little too modern for my personal taste. But...here is a song that I love (brilliant composition) and it fits perfect with my preferences: wink.gif

I know about Deniele for quite long. I dig his style a lot. He seems to be like shinning thorugh a lot of modern, young players who tend to sound similar. I like his playing from a few perspectives

1. There is a theme that put You in the mood before he strats to rip off the fretboard
2. There is a lot of tension push and release moments
3. There is a reach harmonic contents in his arrangments
4. He plays something I could've been listening to even, if I would not play guitar at all smile.gif

WOW! Just when you think you've seen it all smile.gif The way his puts his notes/techniques together is crazy impressive indeed. Not just on a technical level, but on a musical level. I think this is something ANIMALS AS LEADERS could take a few cues from IMHO. Not to take anything away from TOSIN ABASI, he's freaking brilliant. However, there is more to music than just execution of nearly impossible bits. At the end of the day, it's gotta hit folks in the gut as well the head or it's almost self limiting. This guy does a great job of blending technical and emotional aspects which is not something you see everyday smile.gif

I know him, but haven't been attracted by his music when checked his stuff. He is definitely a very skilled guitarist, but I've hear some more symphonic stuff that he did, his playing was great but it didn't captured me. This song shared by Monica is much more enjoyable for me so I'll give him a second chance.
