Him Style: Love Metal, Lesson By Gabriel Leopardi |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Guys! Here I come with my new challenge. I now it's not perfect, i'm already hearing some of the things you are gonna tell me :D. What annoys me the most is one part that should be played at the up beat but I play it on the down, arghhh, i've been temped to correct it in the DAW, but i didn't know how to correct it in the video, hehehe. Synchronizing audio and video is always a pain in the..., synchronizing two is crazy, but i think i've done a good job after all. Please be kind ;D |

Hi mate! You did a very good job doing all this together. There are things to fix off course but I think that you are on thee right track with this one. Let me list some things to have in mind and work:
1. The clean arpeggios sound good but has some little timing issues. Playing this type of arpeggios tight isn't an easy job so be patient and keep on practising them. 2. In the same part, now talking about the distorted guitar, remember what I said in our Army's thread about the tone that you get with the palm muting. I think that having a more "metal" style sound will really help. The timing can be tighter in this part. 3. I can find timing issues in the connexions between different parts (for example at 01:14). 4. Your guitar has some tuning issues in the last melodies, and it becomes more important at 1:23 5. You vibrato could be more consistent in the chorus melodies. That's all from me! Keep on the hard work! -------------------- My lessons
