Is This A Diminished Triad?

I have a D (root), F Natural (3rd), and B natural which should be the Flat 5th. Is this right? The diminished 7th formula is R b3 b5 bb7 A diminished triad is R b3 b5 If D is your root then this is how the notes would go with those formula's. Triad D® F(b3) G#(b5) 7th D® F(b3) G#(b5) B(bb7). What you can further do with a diminished 7th arpeggio/chord is if you move the same shape up or down in minor 3rd intervals (3 frets) You'll produce the same chord or an inversion of it. This only applies to diminished 7th though. Use of this can be heard in most neo classical music. Hope that helps. You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
