Hi mate,

I could see a previous take of this one at the mentoring program and I think that it was better than this one. I wonder if the reason is that the other guitar is more comfortable.

This one is not bad but you don't look and sound comfortable with more of those bends and phrases. You need to play this one more to make the connection of phrases smoother since the silence between them sometimes isn't natural.

Your bends tend to be on pitch but some of them are not totally consistent, mostly in the second half.

Finally there are very little unwanted noises in some sections which is also related to the fact that the connections are not totally smooth.

This is not a bad take at all, but I think that you definitely need to keep on playing it.

Hey Petr!

This is not a bad take at all but has some issues that breaks the "flow" in your playing. To be honest Gabriel has perfectly pointed out what needs a fix. Your overall pitch sense is descent - there are no ciritical pitch mistakes...though some of bends are a few cents below or above the perfect pitch (that's a minor issue) and (more important to fix) you tend to slightly release the pitch while you should hold the note with consistent pressure.

Second, more visible issue is how you go from one phrase to another. You cut the ends of notes and this is why your take looses some of the flow/fluency. Being able to smoothly connect notes of melody is a skill itself. Aside from that I'm satisfied with your lesson take preparation well done!

Hi Petr, I can tell that your main focus on this take was getting the pitch of the bends correct, which is probably why the connecting lines were not so smooth.

If we judge your take purely on the bending techniques themselves I would say that you did a great job. The pitch is accurate most of the time so I think you can be happy with that.

If you're confident with the bending then I think you would be able to lend your focus to all of the extra bits in the lesson, like the connecting phrases and any vibratos that may be there. But don't do that until you're ready. Keep up the good work with the bending. As you get better you will not need to think about it so much, it will become more of a reflex. Then you'll be able to give your attention to everything.
