hi

as you might have guessed from the topic tittle i have a question about legato

when i pull of say from the 8th to the 5th fret on the lower e string i make an upward motion with my pinky. In one of the instruction video's i saw cris doing the same thing only with a downward motion of the pinky

it really can't hear the difference between an upward or a downward motion pull off. Is it oke for me to continue using upward motion or should i really use stricktly downward motion?
