Well, I spyed this little black beauty some time ago, offers a great spec for the cash.

A BC Rich ASM Pro Shadow

Ebony fingerboard, EMG 81/85 pups, original Floyd Rose, set thru neck.

Picked it up today, actually decided to go brand new instead of an ebay 2nd hand job, what a guitar!!

I think I may have just found exactly what I`ve been looking for for quite some time!! biggrin.gif

The action on this is incredibly low and I have no buzz! this is a real first for any guitar I`ve ever owned! sounds great too! one happy bunny sitting here right now biggrin.gif

anyways heres a clip using it tonight smile.gif

Sounds great man, now what did you pay for it... tongue.gif Tbh, I've always looked past BC's for the fact the only one's I've seen have radical shape's, yours looks very playable. Glad you found something you like man and hope you enjoy those EMG's. smile.gif

yea agree`ed, I`ve over looked them before for exactly that reason, it was actually a friend of mine, who owns a BC Rich warlock that said about this model if I didnt like the wierd shaped stuff, I`m glad I checked it out! smile.gif

It was a toss up in the end between a Schecter Blackjack ATX and this, very similar specs and very similar prices, the difference was I was able to go and play this one in a local (ish) store, the Schecter would be a bought unseen in the flesh and un tried.

I payed a little over £550 with a hardshell case thrown in.

Very classy looking axe mate. BC has the Assasin and maybe a few others that are more Stratlike. I've looked at them, but not ready to buy anything in these economic times. Enjoy!

EDIT: Oops! That is an Assasin.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Just had a look around "the big three" here in the States and looks like they go for around $800. A lot of guitar for the money for sure. I'm curious of the tone difference between the Alder of the BC and Mahogany of the Schecter. I also like the Ebony board on the BC. smile.gif

Looks like a good buy bro!

Congrats on your new child!
It seems like BC Rich are some of the best metal guitars out there. I've read/seen several reviews of diffrent types of Riches, and none of them disappoint. One was compared with a Gibson Explorer, and dominated over it!
